Reference 15/2180/FUL. Comments from No 29 Manleys Lane.

1) I have been to see the plans for the above application, but they are not retrospective, for what has already been erected, I am pleased to say.

2)what is erected at the moment is not acceptable, since it starts on the wall of No 29, with a 4inch post.

3) The law enforcement officer, immediately remarked ,that the fence should be on No 28's side of the boundary line, where the original 5ft single panel was, and hence the responsibility of the occupiers of 28.

4) When the present erection comes down which it mist do,we, at No 29 would prefer a 5ft fence and no more, with vertical weather boarding, and 5 ft ,all the way to the bottom of the garden ,following the contour of the ground, similar to other fences in Manley's Lane.

5) At the moment we feel imprisoned and enclosed with adverse visibility, and the morning sun from the east is impaired.

6) We have not been able to entertain friends this summer, because of the unsightly posts, and the unfinished look of the fence. This has destroyed our quality of life, and the outlook of all our neighbours has been embarrassing.

7)The existing posts are of inferior quality, with splits and knots in the wood.

To conclude, we at No 29 oppose any fence over 5 ft high , at any point down through the garden, and therefore ,to be in keeping with other fences in the area.
