According to today's News, the Government is proposing to reduce its subsidy for electricity generation by means
of solar farms. I hope that Clinton Devon Estates
will WITHDRAW this application before incurring further
public expenditure in their attempt to make a financial profit out of an enterprise that is unwanted by so many
local people.

Dear sir/madam
I am writing to oppose the planning application for the proposed solar farm on land at Liverton farm Exmouth on behalf of my family and I.
As a frequent visitors to the East Devon area for both business and leisure we have serious concerns about the potential negative impact that this development would have on this part of the East Devon countryside.
Our first concern is the negative visual impact on the landscape especially from the main road running from Budleigh Salterton to Exmouth ,having observed several solar installations across the South West with their array of sporadic equipment housing and security fencing set a few meters off of the traditional hedgerows along with the incredible glare from the panels we do not agree that this is a suitable site for a solar development.
Our second concern is this proposed site would be taking development beyond the natural boundary of Liverton woods and into the countryside towards Withycombe Raleigh Common.
Our final concern is the fact that this site would be the first development crossing the valley onto the farmland of Liverton farm effectively moving the farmstead down onto one end of its land, we feel it is vital that farms that display more traditional mixed farming techniques such as Liverton farm are not eroded by unnecessary developments taking president over farming.

Yours sincerely

Steven J Palmer.

While I support renewable energy sources, they must be sited with sensitivity.
I object to the proposed building of a solar farm on this site. It seems out of place here. This is close to an AONB, and a busy tourist route. It will diminish the natural beauty of the area which has already undergone substantial urbanisation. I understand that it will deprive the farmer of some of his best land for use with cattle.
